LunchBox Animation Reel

T Rex for the Learning Channel

Webster Colcord

We were contracted to do one 3 or 4 second shot of a T-Rex for the design company Pittard Sullivan. The final animation was used in a station I.D. for The Learning Channel.

The tail is a little over animated. In the final version it was shown only from the ankles up, and most of the tail was hidden, so I wasn't paying that much attention to the tail while animating. My mistake!

The Lunchbox was used in conjuction with the film camera to assist in animating. The ankles on the dinosaur tended to be a little flimsy, so the Lunchbox's toggle (flip-flop) feature was important in aligning the character if it sagged between frames.
