Wendy Jackson Hall is an independent media artist and educator based in Seattle, Washington. She is an officially rostered artist-in-residence with the Washington State Arts Commission, and has received several grants for teaching animation to children. In her workshops and school artist residencies, she has helped over 1,000 children create animation with cut-outs, clay, flipbooks and other materials, using the Video Lunchbox and LunchBox Sync. Wendy serves on the board of directors of the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) and is the secretary of the ASIFA Workshop Group, a coalition of kids' animation teachers around the world. She also teaches animation production and history courses for adults at 911 Media Arts Center and the University of Washington and writes articles about animation for Animation Magazine, Variety, WIRED and other trade publications. She regularly attends animation events around the world and has served on juries for the Ottawa and Annecy International Animated Film Festivals.
